Etgarim – Challenge

11th January, 2011 - Posted by admin - 2 Comments

I recently read an article (soon-to-be-published) about an organization in Israel that is enabling people with physical and mental disabilities to participate in sports activities, including running with the blind in Tel Aviv. I contacted the organization about volunteering to run with the blind but they have enough volunteers for that. Instead, they suggested I help with their bike riding with children program. Earlier this evening I checked it out and decided that I will volunteer for it. The name of the organization is Etgarim, Hebrew for challenge.

Etgar=challenge, etgarim = challenges :-p

I think that this list is making you live a lil, u actually get things done and can cross off your list instead of just saying ‘oh I wish I’d done this, etc’ you can say ‘yes, I did that’! You’re inspiring me to make a list of my own :)
